Patients who need one-on-one attention are cared for in our High Dependency Unit by highly trained nurses who not only take care of the patient's needs, but also provide a caring shoulder and sympathetic ear for family members.
Our Operating Theatre suite consists of three Theatres and a purpose built Day Unit which accommodates six patients. In this Unit, patients for Day Surgery are managed from admission to discharge. This is a particularly busy and efficient unit since we offer Day Surgery in a number of specialties.

Our excellent facilities, services and physicians are complemented by a team of dedicated and professional nursing and administrative staff. Through continuous training, including overseas attachments, we ensure that our staff attain the level of technical and interpersonal skills necessary to deliver the highest standard of patient care.

Besides our caring and efficient staff, patients of the Hospital will come into contact with members of our "Friends of BayView". A charitable organisation, the Friends are present in the Hospital to assist patients with non-medical services.

The in-house engineering team is always on hand to ensure that any problems are rectified in the shortest possible time.

Our backup generator protects sensitive surgical equipment from failure in the event of a power cut and ensures that any surgical procedure in progress can be completed in a safe manner.

At BayView Hospital, we observe the strictest Infection Control Standards in order to protect both our staff and our patients from exposure to diseases.

Patients have a choice of a variety of tasty meals cooked and served from our in-house kitchen. Meal times for patients are:

Breakfast 8:00am - 9:30am
Lunch 12:00 noon - 2:00pm
Dinner 5:30pm - 6:30pm

At BayView you have a variety of payment options. You can pay either by cash or cheque or we accept local and overseas health insurance as well as Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards.

Family of patients may also purchase items from the kitchen.

Included in our comprehensive range of facilities are an in-house Pharmacy and spacious free parking for both patients and visitors.
